• Is the software open source?

Unfortunately no, but we support the Open Source idea and will think about Open Source for tools and modules.
  • Does the software run on Linux or Mac?

Not yet, but there are considerations.
  • Can I work with TaVoS without Internet?

Yes, all data is stored locally. However, updates are only possible with a connection to our servers. These are HTTPS connections only, they should be passed through by strict IP filters. Please contact your network administrator for further questions.
  • I was hacked, can TaVoS help me?

No. TaVoS currently has no functionality to clean already compromised systems. Also, it is not possible to determine directly what the compromise is. We only show where the vulnerabilities lie, but who is doing this is not currently being determined. For this purpose, please fall back on proven providers of firewall, anti virus and anti malware products.
  • Can I hack other systems with TaVoS?

In order to detect weak points in systems, TaVoS works with passive methods. Please keep in mind that scanning foreign systems for which there is no explicit permission for penetration testing, even this activity can be seen as preparation for a crime.
  • Can I work on it with multiple users?

There is no dedicated user management or client server infrastructure. But on one computer a software installation can be operated by several users under different user accounts. However, there is no exchange of data.
